I’ve been to… Pittsburgh, Parkersburg…

Picking up in Cleveland… started the day with a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Impressive facility and a great collection. I’d recommend it to anyone who has listened to music in the last seventy years. Personally, I miscalculated – I hadn’t considered the centrality of music to Janelle and I and that the Hall of Fame was nothing but music. Go figure. I enjoyed the museum, but I think with Janelle I would have spent three times as much time, and gotten nine times the enjoyment. I expect this won’t be the last time. Just need to get through it. So I drove to Parkersburg, West Virginia via Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, checking off two song-cities.

Could I be quantumly entangled with Laura Nyro?

She has long been a favorite singer-song writer. I noticed in the CD rack of a recent host about a dozen Laura Nyro albums, including a bootleg. Then looked down at the sidewalk yesterday and there was this medallion. Then today, out of all the displays at the Hall of Fame, I come face to face with a shadow box of Laura Nyro memorabilia. I think I need to add to my collection.

Pittsburgh

Looks like a three or four day city. Not in the plan this time through. So I did the best to get a couple of pictures in the middle of construction and got out of Dodge.

All I have to show for Parkersburg?
