I spent a couple of days in Lakeland on Maddie’s suggestion. Saw the 13 Frank Lloyd Wright buildings on the campus of Southern Florida University, including the Usonian house. But the best part of Lakeland was the Circle B Bar Reserve. A former farm, it was purchased about 20 years ago by Polk County and they shut off the de-watering pumps. There are several trails through the property and the volume and variety of birds, turtles, fish, gators, did I say birds? Amazing! Highly recommended if you find yourself in Lakeland.
