I’ve been to… Waterloo, Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa

Right in the middle of relocating I got to spend some time in Niagara with a part of the clan. It seemed a good time to squeeze in some of the song-cities I’ve missed in Canada while on the drive back to Maine.

After a few days of family time at Niagara, first stop was Waterloo, Ontario. En route to Toronto…

I used some points to stay right in downtown Toronto. Southeast of Chinatown by a few blocks and close to Lake Ontario.

You have to love a neighborhood with the Village Idiot Pub right around the corner from Sin & Redemption.

Such diversity! The photo is food, but also dress, language, and customs! So many opportunities.

After too few days exploring Toronto it was time to move. This is Kingston, Canada’s original capital. A quick stop on the way to Ottawa.

Last stop before returning to Maine. I’d never been to Ottawa, Canada’s current capital. The picture at the top of the page is a part of the federation government. The picture at the right is of the hand cranked locks that are still used on the Rideau Canal.

Hitting these four song-cities reminds me of how much I enjoyed a structure that encouraged seeing broad swathes of country side. And reminds me that I still need to hit most of the country west of the Mississippi River. I need a plan…
