Cardiff, Wales

I enjoyed Cardiff. It has a blue collar feel to it. It also felt a little blustery and at times rainy. There seems to be a lot going on for a city with a population just under 500k.

Pride Cymru (Wales) culminated during my visit. Everyone seemed to have a good time though I didn’t hang with them until the party broke up a 3AM.

The next day I stumbled upon a triathlon being run out of Roald Dahl Plass on Cardiff Bay. I also didn’t hang with them.

And the next day was Lana del Rey in the Principality Stadium. I also didn’t hang with the 55,000 women dressed for that event. They also seemed to go quiet at 3AM.

The Bute family is credited with making the Cardiff the city that it is. Meaning they made it one of the largest coal exporting ports in the world. They owned the castle from 1776 until 1947, when they gifted it to the city.

I didn’t join in on any of the goings on. But I had fun observing as a strolled and sat at various hydration stations.
