Knowing that Armageddon was approaching, I especially enjoyed the day with Jeff and Kara. If you should ever find yourself at The Sailor’s Return in Stuart, do not miss the Eggplant Stack – eggplant, fontina cheese, spinach, prosciutto and tomato bordelaise – the way eggplant was meant to be.
I hung out around the Space Center for three days trying to see a Falcon 9 launch. Postponed each day. I thought last night I’d get to see it, though from St. Augustine. With 33 seconds left, they pulled the plug because a cruise ship had wandered into the restricted area under the flight path. I’ll try again tonight.
And one to add to the collection of beautiful National Cemeteries. Doesn’t rise to Arlington or San Diego, but still very stirring to experience.
