Made it to Baltimore on Friday. That’s the last US song-city east of the Mississippi. I might pick up some eastern Canadian cities this summer. Otherwise, no more song-cities until I hit west of the Mississippi. Might not be until next winter. I’ve still got a ways to go to get back to Bangor, but this is my foreshadowing of a hiatus for the blog. Maybe.

I was a couple of weeks early for peak cherry blossoms, but Brittany found me this early bird.
.

You did what!?
Yes, that is me carrying a dog into the grocery store in a canvas bag. No idea how that came to be.
I did get to a couple of other museums while I was in town. The National Museum of African American History and The National Museum of the American Indian. Both new to me and worth a visit.

In my “Not According to Plan” list… The 167 treads at the Woodley Park Metro station. Not so bad, just slow, when they are working. A long ass hike when they aren’t. I was lucky – I was headed down. And a bomb cyclone snow event? Really? When I go out to scrape my car in the morning I’m flipping a coin – heads I go north.

I once went to a conference in Baltimore while my friend who lives in Baltimore visited his family near where I live in Chapel Hill. So, naturally, I sent a postcard to his Baltimore address, “Greetings from Sunny Baltimore!”
